Imagine two Meiji Era Gold Screens... Imagine... being transported to the
past.

In 1990, Kyoto artist, Kuroda Soseki took her imagination to the 3rd Year of Otoku and the meeting of Lord Shiragi at Ashigara Yama (Mt. Ashigara) with Toyohara no Tokiaki. Her painting is of Hachiman Taro Yoshiie, the elder brother of Shiragi, who is in battle on the white horse and of Shiragi arriving to make music. A piece which stretches the imagination...Imagine.
