Cosmetic box with mirror, powder box, and face bowl, Edo period vanity

Beautiful 3-piece set made for a woman of high social standing. Copper mirror is typical of the Edo era. The box and Powder boxes are black lacquer with the Paulowina family crest design. The black lacquer bowl was actually used to wash the face and so is somewhat dulled. All pieces are of high quality and together, make a stunning set for the display case or the boudoir.
